SUPPORT GROUPS

Support Groups For Caregivers
Ask yourself these questions:
  • Are you taking care of an older person who has a physical or mental disability?
  • Has your loved one had a stroke or experienced memory loss?
  • Does this person live in your home, their own home, or a facility?
  • Are you a long distance caregiver?
  • Do you feel overburdened by the stress and worry and wonder if anyone else feels the same?
There is someone else out there who is going through the same thing. Join one of the four ACCA sponsored support groups:

Athens Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group
Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Athens Community Council on Aging's Bentley Adult Day Health Center, 135 Hoyt Street from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm. The Athens Pilot Club has partnered with this support group to provide care for the attendees' loved ones during the meeting. If you will be bringing your loved one, please call in advance to let the staff know. Contact Eve Anthony at 706.549.7301.

Parkinson's Support Group
